This guy isn’t kinkshaming. He’s telling people who are causing others to be very uncomfortable around them to stop. He’s stopping a disturbance that has been caused, and in all honesty depending on where they are saved a fight from breaking out (I know if someone tried this in my town it wouldn’t be pretty).

Now look, I’m not in the BDSM community, but I do enjoy the occasional BDSM roleplay and fanfiction, know people in the community, and have done enough research to know that this is not okay. When you play like this, you are creating a scene, because that’s all BDSM is. A scene. By bringing this into public you are bringing other people into your scene, people who have no business being there because they don’t WANT to be there. You’re indirectly harassing them and then making it out to be kinkshaming, essentially victimizing yourself when they have done nothing wrong. I mean come on man there could have been kids there.

This is like if I went to a Pride Parade and wore a shirt saying “Straight and Proud” and then whined about being a victim when I get put down for it. You just don’t do that shit, and the fact that you ARE doing this is giving your community a bad name. I think 50 Shades of Grey has done that plenty. We don’t need 50 Shades of Creepy Douche as well…

Do your thing. I’m all for BDSM and Dom/Sub relationships. But like…don’t do it in a public space where people who don’t want to see that see that…

There’s a time and place for everything. If someone breaks into your bedroom while you were doing whatever you do, then there would be a valid argument but like rose said, doing things in public like this is inappropriate. It’s not about shaming your kink, it’s about knowing there is a time and place for everything.
