This is similar to the question of what would happen if an unstoppable object met an unmovable object. What would likely happen is the sword would phase through the shield without either being damaged. A reaction would refuse to happen hypothetically

An unstopable force and unmovable object are both perpetual motions but a sword is not necisarily an unstopable force. when an unstopbable force meets an unmovable object, they bounce of each other and go in opposite reactions while maintianing the same speed, or rather the unstopable force would. It isn’t the same as a sword cutting through anything.
