America, take notes.

Quotas, like this, lead to an anti-meritocracy, and only act towards the derringer of the society, because enforcing the quota becomes more important than finding the best.

Who said they weren’t the best at what they do?

It’s not that I’m sure they’re not good, the problem is he Chose them to ONLY BE 50/50 M/F. and not from other factors, a 50/50 split should be coincidental, not mandatory.

What else is  “gender-balanced” supposed to mean? From this clip, he said that is why it’s 50/50, not that he chose the best and the 50/50 was coincidental. Gender was more important that skill to him.

You’re assuming.

We REALLY aren’t it was one of his goals as Prime minister to have a 50/50 m/f split in his cabinet, Im sure these people are qualified and whatnot, but its still a quota

jestre

Right, because a majority of one gender has worked so well for America in comparison.

I understand it’s like forced diversity in a workplace, but don’t you want equality from a government that gives rights and laws?

Or would have been okay if his cabinet was the best but all one gender?

If everyone making the laws is one gender, then they will make stupid decisions because they don’t understand certain aspects of the opposite gender. Like how expensive feminine products are because there are legit government officials who don’t understand that you can’t just hold in a period or straight up criminalizing abortion even if the fetus is already dead and is killing the mother with it.
