asgore didnt need the souls of seven human children who happened to fall down and become stuck in the underground in order to become god and bust down the barrier he couldve just taken one and gone through and found some shitlords to take their souls and destroy the barrier or w/e like. he had 6 children killed so he could become god rly slowly instead of seeking out assholes and getting the job done a lot quicker. fuck asgore
