I saw a comment today that rubbed me the wrong way. I know Rum has done a lot of very bad things, but do you think he cheated people with his deals? From what I remember, hasn't he always stuck to his deals as they were made? Some people try to back out after getting what they want, and obviously that's a dumb thing to try and pull over on the Dark One, but I don't remember him *cheating* anyone.

I can’t think of a single example of him cheating people with his deals.  Do people usually like his deals?  No.  Do they sometimes not realize the cost?  Yes but he always makes sure they know making the deal is a bad idea and it will cost them.

The basic rundown of ever deal is this:

Person: I want the thing.

Rum: Then go out and get the thing.

Person: You do it for me.

Rum: You don’t want that really.  It will cost something you do’t want to pay.

Person: I don’t care about the cost, do the things.

Rum: *does the thing*

Rum: *comes back for the price*

Person: You’re a bastard and I don’t wanna play this game anymore.
