Creationists are really mad at Google’s doodle today

Today’s Google Doodle celebrates the 41st anniversary of Lucy the Australopithecus’ discovery. Lucy is thought to have walked upright and is considered to be an early human ancestor. In response creationists are lashing out at Google — and even trumpeting false theories.

Why am I not surprised…

well, technically they’re right. Humans did not in fact evolve from monkeys.

We evolved from apes. Monkeys also evolved from apes but in different environments, causing them to become different people altogether. we didn’t evolve from monkeys, both humans and monkeys evolved from a common ancestor. 

I mean, they’re still being stupid about it but I’m using this as an opportunity to share how humans evolved.
