1 reblog means a lot more than 10 likes to an artist.

yeah because when people reblog your content it says “I like it, I want to share it”.

but when you just like it, it gives off this vibe “I like it but not enough to share it”, “It’s not that good”, “I feel sorry about the low amount of notes so ill just like it cus w/e”
