just fucking draw. don’t compare yourself to other people, don’t stop because you drew a lot last tuesday and you haven’t visibly improved. it takes time, effort, and a lot of perseverance. besides, no matter how “bad” you think you are, there’s still gonna be someone who thinks the stuff you produce is the best goddamn thing they’ve ever seen in their entire life. the artist you were five years ago would have their mind fucking blown by the artist you are today. so just draw a fuckton, because every new thing you draw is one drawing better than you were before.

Seriously,  abakkus is right, Just draw. No one became a master over night and you should never expect to become one over night either. Just draw and stay with it, that and stop hating yourself and your art! Look for the best in yourself and your art, don’t just rag on it. I always tell my friends; “Art is 10% talent, 60% practice and constant drawing, and 30% positive attitude.” If you’re going to compare your art to the art of others, make sure it’s because you want to see if you can best them in a few years. Because trust me, you just very well may.

Seriously. Any artist you admire or look up to started somewhere and worked to where they are now. If you’re willing to do it, you CAN do it. I leave you with Bob Ross to tell you some important words.

With art, you can only get better! There really is no way for you to somehow get worse if you just continue drawing!
If you ever think you’re not good enough or that you’ll never get on the same level of your senpai; STOP THAT. I can almost assure you that every artist feels the same way. You’ll never be perfect, but you CAN get better! You’ll probably spend your whole life improving, but don’t you wanna see how good you can get? And just imagine; even your current best will probably be your worst at some point… and if your current best will be your future worst, what will your future best look like? Only one way to find out! ♥
