Well, yeah, it’s going to be tough to get off-balance, out-of-shape humans to pose like in-shape, super-human cartoons. But, ya know, muh narrative.
Anything to get people, who don’t read comics, upset about the state of comics.
Instead of having these women trying to mimic fictional characters, perhaps Buzzfeed should have them perform feats that actual real women have performed like running a mile under 4:15, swim the 200 m freestyle in under 2 minutes, or squat 800lbs on squat. I’d watch that.
Watch these men try to smash brick walls like male comic book heroes.
Clearly since the average man cannot smash a brick wall then the super strong male comic book heroes present an unrealistic expectation for men and have no place in a comic books. -Feminist/Buzzfeed logic
I especially like the part where they get a woman with 100 lbs on Red Sonja to try and pose like alim woman who needs to be athletic for a living.
Also, that Spider-Woman cover pose is identical to an earlier Spider-Man one.
Whoops!
Okay, it’s not like “agility” is one of the often-listed powers of both Spider-Woman and Spider-Man, and the latter is often drawn in physically impossible poses, right?
I am Silver Tongue, I am an artist. I have many characters and you can check out my art in the art tag. I occasionally practice witchcraft though I don't do anything too complicated. I am girl 2 and don't know what else to put here.
