i don’t know about the rest of you but i’m actually a bit overwhelmed by how? nice it is to be a female star wars fan right now? it’s just really fantastic after ten years of struggling to be able to buy merch with star wars ladies that isn’t the slave bikini, or to be able to buy actual womens t-shirts instead of men’s ones that never fit right, or for there to be cute pink star wars pyjamas or fuzzy stormtrooper socks if that’s what you want? or to be able to look in the background shots of TFA and see girl pilots and medics and officers and soldiers, to see girls being competent and heroic and there and idk about you but when my smallest brother announces that rey and ahsoka are his favourite characters without a shadow of hesitation i feel like crying a bit

Also, one of the most badass characters who was a storm trooper was a girl and her armour was not sexualized which was fantastic
