it’s funny how people flip their shit more when it comes to potentially inaccurate self-diagnosis yet they say nothing about the reality of professionals misdiagnosing patients, which has far worse consequences and results in the administration of improper treatment, which can go on for years, because patients are conditioned to believe that their opinions and self-knowledge are irrelevant in comparison

this damage far outweighs someone possibly being wrong about diagnosing themselves with bpd, for example
