well, the jedi wer epart of the problem. let me ask you this, does all light and no dark seem balanced? No. Light without darkness is blinding. they were too arrogant to see that the overabundance of jedi might be the problem and the only true way to achieve balance was by destroying both light and dark and start a neutral class.

Remember, Luke and leia used tactics which were considered dark. LIke luke force choking someone in return of the jedi or leaving his training to go save leia and han, similar to how anikin left his training to save his mother despite being told it leads to the dark side.

Lukes order may be called jedi, but it’s most likely a neutral class.
