Know what it’s called? Charon. You know what also is called Charon?

The boat person of the river styx. You know who else is a boat person who has information on someone named after a font?

Here’s my theory. River person is sans and papyrus’s mother.

Also the ability to teleport. I mean, they can go straight from hotland to snowdin without goign to the waterfall first.
