Think about it, first off there is a direct connection between the two other than being font skeletons. Sans uses weapons called gaster blasters and the font while he’s asleep?

Log 17 in particular is interesting. it takes place after he falls into his creation

And got scattered through time and space. The interesting part of the log is that he asks two people what they think about his situation. It’s entirely possible that one of them is sans. It would be reason enough for him to be able to tell when anomalies happen. Especially since he doesn’t say “my reports showed a massive anomaly” he says “ our reports showed a massive anomaly ”

As though he’s not alone. If anyone would be able to tell when anomalies happen, it would be the one who is scattered across timespace. AS for the photo album? Well, you aren’t able to meet gasters followers naturally so you probably won’t be able to recognize them.

So here is a much better theory than sans is ness. Sans was gasters assistant and the blueprints are gasters. The album is sans with gaster and his followers. The machine is gasters creation that he fell into.

bonus: who is the other one gaster was talking to in log 17?

I don’t think it was papyrus. Papyrus seems unaware of everything happening or else he wouldn’t have listened to flowey. My theory of who else was someone who helped out gaster…

River person. The only other person other than sans who references gaster, but who they are is a whole other theory in itself.
