DM: There’s an island of gold sitting in a pool of lava.
Dwarf: It’s a trap. Gold melts in lava.
Human: What if the lava has a low melting point?
I would trust the dwarf on this one. If there’s anyone who knows more about precious metals and melting points, it would be the one who is born and spends their whole lives revolving around smelting.
