I think you mean noun. Griffons are nouns, not vowels. But I agree that colour-noun is absolutely ridiculous.

Hey buddy friend pal chummy chum friend pal you know what is a vowel. A-E-I-O-U and sometimes Y. You know what AZULA is. Azul (Spanish for blue) with the vowel, A, placed at the end. You know what CYANO is? Cyan (Also blue), with the vowel, O, placed at the end.
