So, I'm not defending Moffat and his shitty tastes here, but were in sherlock does a good guy get away with murder? It's a genuine question cause I'm kinda drawing a blank here. Was it that one time Sherlock shot that rich asshole in the head. Like, was it the guy that had that library mind palace and was ridiculously evil? Personally, I wouldn't judge someone for shooting them in the head, but I guess you don't get a lot of people as evil as them in real life so the situation was a bit silly.

It’s still murder, oh my god.

‘Oh he’s evil therefor it’s okay to murder him’

NO.

Also Mary. I don’t give a shit if she was ‘reformed’. She was not punished for her crimes, just because she decided to be ‘good’ suddenly and lie about who she is doesn’t mean those killings never happened.

Also Watson who shot someone in an earlier episode too.

Just no, don’t excuse murder just because ‘it’s the bad guy’. In Sherlock Holmes of all things that’s even more vital, I feel.

And they were supposedly going to punish him for his murder but nah, he’s so smart and suddenly Moriarty therefor it’s kay.

This is part of why his writing sucks, the bad guys are so two dimensional that you don’t even consider them on level with human beings, so you don’t care if they get killed.
