Well, that is an interesting question. Some theorize space is infinite, while others dictate there is a clearly defined edge to the universe. To me, I would say that, technically, until we develop FTL (faster than light) travel, space is infinite. The reason for that is because of the expansion of universe. This is evidenced by the most distant galaxies redshift. At those distances, space is expanding so rapidly that light beyond this point cannot reach us because the source and the observer are moving apart faster than light can travel! This is why we have a defined “edge of the observable universe”.
