Neat things to consider if you’ve not already: wand holsters!

Don’t be the jackass who puts their wand in their pocket and accidentally blows off their foot.

Long long ago I developed a “duelist’s holster” for wands that’s sort of based on those old spring-loaded devices for small pistols you’d sometimes see in Westerns or action movies.  I guess people would be more familiar with the mechanism because of Assassin’s Creed these days.  Assuming the Wizard’s wand was short enough to comfortably rest along their forearm, it would just be a flick of the wrist to pop it out into the hand, cast a quick spell, and slide it back away quick as a whip.

Just shove it in the waistband of your pants. What could go wrong?

Wands still have residual magics and having them in your pocket could cause them to get damaged and hurt you.
