Well, to be fair, Kung Fu Panda re focused on the martial arts. Which is heavily into mimicking the motions and behaviors of animals, so there is already a connection between the two. Zooptopia is on the opposite end of that spectrum.
What the fuck do you mean nobody bats an eye? The kung fu panda trilogy is a fantastic series that many people have enjoyed.
