I guess everyone was just transphobic all my life even though even I didn’t know I was trans back then?

Actually it’s closer to someone who is ace being told they’ll find the right person eventually and constantly told they won’t be happy alone having a place in the community. They aren’t gay but they have still experienced the kind of shit before and are also being denied help from the community that should accept them.
