so technically, you have to add that number to see how many actually unfollowed
There have been 15 new followers since the new update.
So that means 37 people have unfollowed today.
As you pointed out, you know this is normal.
Some people see the update, remember they follow you…but also realize they aren’t that interested anymore and unfollow. And so updates sometimes come with a drop in follower count.
