Game Designer A: I have a great idea for the final boss in our game!
Game Designer B: Oh, what is it?
Game Designer A: I was thinking that our final boss would be immune to kicking, and if you tried to kick him you’d take damage.
Game Designer B: That’s a terrible idea! Kicking makes up 50% of our combat mechanic and without it the player will be unable to combo properly!
Game Designer C: I think it’s a great idea! It’ll go perfectly with my idea to give the player a finite amount of punches!
Game Designer D: And it’ll go perfectly with my idea to give the final boss 1000+ HP, the ability to heal, and the fact that his defense is super high!
Game Designer B, C, and D then got promotions.
