you know what i never got?
when in movies or on tv (or in real life, i dunno) some crook gets caught doing something illegal and offers the cop a bribe… what’s stopping the cop from pocketing the money and just arresting the dude anyway? i mean.
Generally they have the money stashed somewhere else and if the arrested can prove the cop took the money, the cop can be placed under investigation and the crook acquitted
