Alright so in today’s episode we see malachite get attacked by a bunch of watermelon stevens but well being attack by them we see her smile. At first is seems like just amusement to me but then

We see her smile more and look around at all the stevens which also might be nothing. Until we get this image.

That isn’t the facial expression of malice that sheer joy and wonder. The kind of look you’d see in a little kid when they were just shown something brand new. At least I think it is. And she acts like this until she gets hit by rocks.

Then we see a split second of confusion and what might be betrayal and sadness before she goes back to anger. Maybe I’m reading to much into this or miss reading the facial expression but for maybe a split second malachite seemed really happy about the watermelon stevens. I don’t know what importance this has but that detail to emotion makes me think it’s important. Let me know what you think

Perhapse it’s Malechite as an individual?
Japser clearly has an affinity for combat and lapis is very loyal to steven so being able to have a serious spar might make malachite as an individual surface, that is until the rock knocks jasper back in control.
