Gens 1and 5 are analogues for the hard reset Gamefreak did with the region dex and starters being secondary types independent to each other
Gens 2 and 6 are analogues for the low quantity of pokes and the starters only being weak towards each other in one direction, this time for both of their types.
Gens 3 and 7 have too much water, people in hawaiian clothing, and the starters’ secondary types won’t be related probably.
