I cannot spend one minute on this blogging site without American culture, shows, music, politics and standards being violently shoved down my throat, and I’m sure it’s the same for my fellow non-American bloggers.  

Everyday, Americans want to teach us about our own history and culture, and forcefully demand us to apply their racial standards to our continent. 

If we write posts about European issues, they can only reach a maximum of 500 notes, because god forbid Americans caring about something that isn’t about them, and we never manage to spread the awareness those issues deserve. 

But for three days out of 365 we have this event that is all about Europe, a harmless (well, it depends from the point of view), fun contest during which we finally feel included in this goddamn site, it’s about us, for once. 

But no, you all can’t really handle not being at the center of everyone’s attention for three days a year, so what do you do? The best thing you can do, obviously: find ridiculous ways to apply your crappy social justice. 

Talking about “whites” is already pushing your racial standards down our throats, since that expression can’t really apply to ours, and I’m still trying to understand what *your* racism has to do with the whole thing. 

Also, yes, now Southern Europeans are now magically white, we always are when it’s convenient for you. I hope you do realize that Greeks, Italians, Spaniards etc. don’t exist only when you need to prove your point. 

And I’m not even going to discuss this topic further, I’m tired, and your US-centric brains can’t process the existence of people who don’t fit into your black/white dichotomy anyway.
