The otherkin one is a bit iffy though. Like, if someone claims to be otherkin of a character you made as a coping mechanism then guilt tripping you for being mad that they are hijacking your coping character, then that is toxic.

Even claiming to be the character someone else made to cope with something is toxic though since yo’re taking their pain and exploiting it. otherkin is mostly used as an umbrella term but most of the time it’s used to say that the person feels as thought they were a nonhuman creature in a past life, FICTIONKIN is when someone identifies as a character. no one CHOOSES their kintypes and if they WERE kin with someone’s coping character it would be shitty to go around flaunting that because THEN you would be exploiting their pain. the same rules of any group apply to otherkin, that some of them are LOUDLY SHITTY, and most of them are quietly NOT. otherkin are not toxic and have done nothing wrong. they have not harmed anyone else by existing and saying otherwise would be shitty. ok, no, that wasn’t explicit at all, you said that claiming kin with a character that is a coping mechanism THEN guilt tripping because the creator gets mad THATS toxic; however I believe that was already said; also, originally I didn’t actually originally talked about the original post; and yes, that proves that fictionkin is a part of otherkin, but the worst thing here is your blatant generalization of this

No, it was saying otherkin who do that are toxic, not every otherkin. Stop overgeneralizing my statements. I’ve said multiple times the toxic otherkin are the ones who claim to be kin with someone elses coping character.
