Is it wrong rooting to a villain in this situation?

Magneto is sort of an anti-villian/sympathetic monster going up against a real monster here, so I’d say no.

Magneto’s entire motivation for being so against humanity’s mistreatment of mutants comes from being a HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR.

And he’s beating the shit out of a literal Nazi. 

Can you taste it? That’s the sweet, sweet taste of Karma pie, and Red Skull’s getting a full helping. 

Magneto wasn’t just a holocaust survivor, he was in germany and his family fled to poland in the years before WWII started. He was there when it first started in germany. He suffered the entirety of the holocaust and experimented on by the nazi scientists, by hydra, for a good portion of the time. Then, later in life, he saw people rounding up mutants in a similar fashion and he wasn’t going to have any of that shit. Him beating the shit out of red skull is for absolutely everything. It’s for the shit he suffered at the hands of nazis, it’s for the experiments he was forced to undergo by hydra. it’s for humanity failing to learn from the atrocities and repeating them. It’s for his oldest friend being hurt.

Max Eisenhardt is one of the most complex characters in marvel and by far one of the best.
