This is how the first practical body armor was marketted, too. “Look, it works. Don’t believe me? Ok, here’s a vest. I’ll put it on. Shoot me. Shoot me dammit! Ok fine give me the gun and I’ll shoot myself.”

I’m curious to see why this guy didn’t suffer the usual effects of being shot while wearing body armor, though. Usually the armor stops the penetration, but not the kinetic energy, and so getting hit is like a hammerblow against plate armor, and can still break ribs and cause significant bruising.
