I’m forcing my way through Alpha and Omega, but it’s really hard to watch this thing.
I’ve never seen a theatrical release so lacking in polish. I can’t believe this came out in 2010. It’s so bad.

WHAT THE HELL IS THAT
in this shot you can actually see where the cg landscape ends and the matte painting begins
those checkmarks are supposed to be carved into the tree but here you can clearly see that when the tree was modeled they instead made the check marks stick OUT of the tree, and then just gave it a different texture and thought no one would notice

i don’t know what’s worse, the fact that they just stuck the characters on top of a painting for this scene, or the fact that doing so made this the best looking shot in the whole movie
…and it led directly to a continuity error. In the previous shot the characters were walking on a grass pathway, but in this shot no such pathway can be found
