My ex girlfriend, stormai, has outted me to my parents.

Before you do anything, do not send hate to stormai.

-Before you say “stormai is sleeping right now”, this message was sent to my father hours ago, when she was online.

-Before you say “but you’re outting stormai?”, there is a difference between telling people about you warning others and someone outting you to your parents about your relationship status that could put you in a dangerous situation. Someone’s life if more important that someone’s reputation online.

-Before you say “she cares about you”, I acknowledge the possibility that it could have been because she cares but I highly doubt it because she knows the full extent of how bad my country can get when it comes to LGBT+ people and if she truly did have good intentions and would like to talk about it later on, she wouldn’t have blocked me on Tumblr IM ( Note that I have been talking with her and being friendly until she blocked me today, the day she outted me to my dad )

-I live in Malaysia, being someone that isnt Cis or Straight puts you at risk of getting kicked out, sent to jail, whipped or beaten up on the streets. If you don’t believe me, go ahead and Google Malaysia’s thoughts on LGBT+ people

- “This wouldn’t have happened if you talked to her more”. No. You are not supposed to talk to your SO every single second of your life. You need space, and you have to give your SO space. You do not guilt trip your SO if they need space ( like she did ).

-My dad is open minded and he didn’t believe the message, thankfully. -but still, she knew the full extent of what could happen and did it anyway ( I have told her many times of how bad it can get in my family & my country when it comes to this kind of things )

-Despite my dad using proper pronouns, she talks to him using she/her and he/his pronouns and talks to him about the situation

-No matter how much you hate me, nobody deserves to get kicked out and jailed (or possibly killed) for simply being in a relationship. Picture yourself in this situation, how would you feel if you kept your identity and relationship status a secret to your parents so you can stay safe and someone you trusted outs you to your parents, risking you of getting kicked out,jailed or even killed? No one deserves that. No one.
