Yeah, “matpat met the pope while representing the YouTube gaming community” is actually even more ridiculous so I’m not sure context makes this one better

It is. It was an event where many people come to represent various cultures and bring three pope a gift reflecting the culture they represent. Matpat was chosen to represent YouTube gaming culture. He wasn’t the only celebrity there. George Clooney was there too.
