I think people are making this big because of people saying stuff like, "lol its Matpat, the youtuber that makes theories and states that they are true, is a big icon of the YouTube community, and everyone hates him for his success so I hate him as well and whatever big thing he's done is now being mocked by the masses so I'd better get in on that and not check out the actual video to see what he actually said and if I do, I won't be able to rejoin the mass of people that don't check the facts."
