The context was that there was a global panel and the topic was how the internet brings people together. It’s customary to bring the pope a gift reflecting the culture you are chosen to represent. Mat pat was chosen to represent YouTube gaming culture. The gift that reflects it was undertale which he gave symbolically because it’s a game about peacefull fighting and overcoming prejudices to the pope who supports the lgbt community and actually helps people.
