Yeah, “matpat met the pope while representing the YouTube gaming community” is actually even more ridiculous so I’m not sure context makes this one better
I mean. The Pope trying to learn more about internet culture is pretty damn awesome, actually? People keep laughing about how silly it is and, yeah sure, but it’s also pretty cool that the head of such a conservative institution is trying to keep up with the times and know what makes the internet world tick.
Not to mention, the Vatican’s theme of the year is Mercy, and Undertale fits that pretty damn well.
