OKAY BUT REAL TALK!

So a group of us are at a Gazebo in my nearby outdoor shopping mall thing. We’re a group of complete strangers that has been brought together because this gazebo is a Pokespot and we’re all taking turns putting up lure modules and talking about Pokemon and becoming chill friends. It’s fucking fantastic.

So anyway, there was this big crash/explosion type sound in the distance and a bunch of people go running by because ya know something crashed so everyone not fighting with Pokemon Go servers is running to check it out. So this officer runs by and he stops at us and goes “Did you all see anything or hear anything?” a few of them say yeah, there was a crash but no we didn’t see anything and I’m looking down at my phone. Because there’s a damn Pikachu and I HAVE to get it before the server dies again.

So the police officer turns to me (because I’m pointing the phone towards him with a very concentrated look) and goes “Are you recording something?” and I go “No sir there’s a Pikachu at your feet.” and he goes “Oh you guys are playing Pokemon Go!”

The officer then proceeded to cheer with us as I caught my Pikachu and talked with us for like 15 minutes about Pokemon Go and how it’s gotten his wife into Pokemon. He then told us not to “Catch and Drive” and walked off. We never did figure out what that explosion was but we all collectively decided it was a gym nearby being taken down.
