quartz-poker:

Why is it every time I want to branch out from ponies and experiments, someone goes “Oh no you can’t do that, stick to what you’re good at”?

Seriously. I’d be doing fanart for like 9 different communities + generic furry stuff, but my friends in those groups don’t want me. They always tell me I’m doing it wrong.

You’re pretty good at Lilo & Stitch

  2. kibugamikenzo said: You might as well try something new if you want to. There’s no sense holding back if you’re not content where you are. And you’ll never get better and something else unless you practice. So if you’re willing, you should just do it.
  3. wanderlost-girl said: stuff them
  4. white-sky-draws said: You can draw what you want and you’re good at a lot of things. Don’t let them tell you what is right and wrong, because there is no wrong way of doing what you enjoy the most.
  5. smallandnonexistent said: Definitely branch out! Art isn’t about staying in a box. You gotta experiment to grow and if you draw more variety your following will have room broaden
  6. syauska said: Ignore them, they sound like twats. If the thing that attracts you at the moment is such-and-such, and you’d like to draw it (despite it being of a different art style, or from a different perspective), then DO IT! Quality always wins out, and even more than that, having a good time with art does too, man. If they don’t like it, most of us will :)
