I was part of the Brony fandom when it was at its worst. I know how to handle these. And this isn’t even the first time I’ve seen sexual identity erasure. I’ve seen shippers so rabid to ship two characters that didn’t even share a screen together until 100 episodes in that if you had a blog with one without the other, they would ask “where’s the other?” And then attack you for not having the other. All this while one of the characters in question was canonically ace. So ace that he didn’t even consider love as a catalyst for a magic expirament.

But yeah, this isn’t my first experience in this situation.
