asriel’s one of those kids who’s parents have to be like “listen kid its not christmas until 8AM”, but every day. he gets up mad early but he’d have to stay in bed drawing as quietly as he could since his roommate is somehow the Lightest Sleeper and the Loudest Awake Person on the planet.

once The Fam woke up theyd have breakfast and he’d keep pretty close to one or both of his parents to learn about Monster Stuff. they have schools but since his parents are the only ones of their kind and he’s the heir to the throne, they’d wind up homeschooling him. they’d basically treat every day like take your son to work day (at least for lighter/shorter type things given his age) and round it off with some actual booklearny things. asriel is That Kid who actually enjoys writing papers and is a very good student. 

they’d be good at balancing work and play and are happy to work around Nice Days and to take breaks, but not being raised alongside his peers led to him being super lonely and kind of awkward. though he had the freedom to leave Home and make friends, being Powerful and having everyone be a friendly acquaintance, he never had much luck with it and kept to himself, either at home or on little adventures closeby.

chara’s arrival encourages him wander farther from home and do more stuff! he never quite figures out how to read them, but he’s pretty sure they dig him taking on being a teacher/tour guide in new spaces and basically just dumping everything he learned that day on them. he likes hearing his own voice, why wouldnt they? they probably like it. they totally like it!

as they get more comfortable with each other they go on more exciting one-off adventures/into trouble but you didnt ask about that and either way this kid falls asleep at like 9 every day without being asked whats his DEAL
