I don’t know which is dumber, Microsoft thinking Yahoo was worth $40B in 2008, or Yahoo thinking it was worth more than $40B in 2008.
They were offering 40 because Microsoft wanted yahoos infrastructure and resources to make their own search engine bing to compete with google.
And now yahoo bought tumblr and is salty when they find out its pretty much snake oil
