Mosquito’s are grossly overlooked as a threat during the zombie apocalypse.

Actually, because the zombie virus kill off animals without making them zombies in most fiction, the mosquitos would die off shortly after biting a zombie. And with mosquitos as a whole would probably go extinct quickly
