Constance Wu isn’t wrong. As has been shown in the last decade, roles for Asian actors are statistically shockingly limited in Hollywood
Update: In a new interview with Vulture, Constance Wu keeps the fight for Asian American actors alive. Specifically the struggle she has with white studio executives now who get defensive when she brings up whitewashing:
She understands why they’re defensive but more importantly, where Asian erasure comes from.
