Not to get meta, but I don’t believe for a second that Rose Quartz shattered her Diamond.

Let’s just say Rose Quartz DID take it too far. Would she really have stooped to the level Homeworld did? She was no shining beacon of morality by any account - just look at what she did with Bismuth. But would she have done all that with Bismuth - poofing her and keeping her tucked away - only to turn around and shatter Pink Diamond? COULD she have?

No matter how strong Rose is, Diamonds are elite. They are fucking HUGE

So even if this is only a semi accurate representation, we know that they far surpass the height of a quartz soldier like Jasper or Rose herself. I don’t think Rose would’ve been able to handle a Diamond, one of the STRONGEST gems known - capable of cutting others no problem, on her own.
