The more that Millennials and Gen X'ers improve medicine and healthcare, the longer Baby Boomers will be around to fuck shit up for us.

At this point, Gen X has become part of the problem too. Gen X people prefer to hire Gen X people and lock inexperienced Millenials out of the job market in some fields, such as geology.

And by the time the new generations are coming along, the Millenials will become part of the problem.

It is good for power to be passed along from generation to generation, but over time, each generation in turn will reshape the system to suit themselves without any regard for the next generation. And then the next generation will be like “oh come on! You had your turn, now it’s our turn!” and the previous generation will be like “Young people don’t know what it’s like! Back in my day we only had two candidates to choose from, and one of them was an alien! Back in my day, wi-fi was delivered in gallons and only cost a nickel! Back in my day, youtube wasn’t the shithole it is now!”

not necisarily true. People who lived through the great depression tend to be more generous and kind because tehy know how tough it can be. At this point, our generation is acknowledges that we won’t be in charge forever and we are going to make sure that the world can support the next generation
