To be fair, an RSVP is considered a good idea. If you let them know you’re coming, when you arrive, you will already be taken care of.

Arriving unannounced, you might have to put up with a lack of support for a while before the host finally gets their shit together.

So while I support people’s right to emigrate and immigrate, I also support the whole idea of RSVPing for the sake of making it as painless as possible for everybody.

well typically, people who seek refugee can’t really RSVP because you can’t quite predict when a natrual disaster will happen.
