Actually, this is a piece by Andy Goldsworthy, a UK-based artist who uses found natural materials to make beautiful, ephemeral works. Here are a couple other things he’s made:

I got these images from here, but they’re really easy to find if you search his name. None of these are painted or arranged with synthetic materials, only things that he found. It’s extremely painstaking work, and he deserves proper credit for making it, because it’s so beautiful and awe-inspiring.
