Batman #3

This is it…. this is the intro I’ve always wanted to see in either a batman book or movie.

A young boy and his parents leave a movie theater after having a good time, they take a shortcut through an alley to reach their car. A Thug steps out of the shadows with a gun and demands money.

The father pleads, the boy watches as the thug points his gun at his parents fully intending to end their lives, but before he can fire a shot…

Batman descends, and stops it. Either with a batarang embedded in the thug’s hand causing him to drop the gun, or a well placed martial arts move to disarm him, or just an old fashioned punch to the jaw.

Batman turns to address the family, and it suddenly hits him what he just prevented. He gives some reassurance to the family but more so to the boy and himself, before stepping back into the darkness.
