The Pygmy Gecko is so tiny, some insects look huge near it. Living in the Amazon rainforest, due to heavy rain, the risk of drowning for this small lizard could be immediate. Yet, the gecko’s skin has a great secret. It has a hydrophobic skin that makes the water slide off its body just like rain off a newly waxed car; its tiny body is so incredibly light, the Pygmy Gecko is actually able to stand on water.
