how dare a game for children be made for children to understand

i started playing pokemon when i was like four years old why are grown adults so annoying

Dude theres like 700+ pokemon now. You think new players of any age can just hop in and instantly memorize every pokemon,their typing and all the convoluted type matchups? I think this is a great way to ease people in who dont instantly figure that punching a bird wouldnt be very effective

I’ve been playing Pokemon since the original Red/Blue, and I think this is a awesome feature! I welcome it!

I thought for the longest time Ice type was effective against Water types, and as someone with a bad memory I’m NOT gonna remember the type advantages and weaknesses of every single pokemon. I love this new feature.

Oh no, such a terrible shame that a game made for children that most people started playing as children added a mechanic so that children can better understand the mechanics for this childrens game.
I’m pretty sure most fans would have killed to have this mechanic back in 2000
